What is Rise to Reality?
My Story:
My name is Brielle, and I’m a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As someone who has witnessed careless, dangerous drug use in the world around me, I want to make a difference.
Throughout my life, I have seen many people suffer from addiction: a disease that slowly consumes the mind. All were beautiful, unique individuals that had the potential to live a successful life. Drugs not only stole their future, but their identity. These once lovely, bright people became strangers to me and to others that loved them.
I refuse to watch others fall into the same trap of addiction.
The Mission:
Rise to Reality (RTR) is an organization created to spread awareness about the dangers of illicit drugs. The goal is to motivate viewers through example, and ultimately inspire an alternate path and lifestyle.
In part, society glorifies a “reckless life of entertainment”. We might not be able to change this, but we can make a different choice: we can choose to live in our beautiful reality and to make every moment matter.
Even by impacting just one person, the world is made a better place. Collaboratively, we can all make a huge difference.
